Summer 2021 Course Conditions Update
July 26, 2021 —
Hot and dry.
Great weather to play golf, not necessarily great weather to “grow golf.”
Thankfully, toward the middle of July we received a little more than 2.00” inches of rain, which helped immensely. That was after some 50-odd days without receiving even one-half of an inch of precipitation.
The course is holding up, but it is definitely firm and a little “crispy” in some spots. But hey, that makes for great playability!
COURSE ADDITIONS:
Pines 6 tee box:
In May, we finalized a project to develop more teeing area on this par-3. This will help alleviate the pressure put on this tee box, as well as improve turf recovery time.
We opened it in mid-June. It came in very nicely. See pictures:
Dunes 11 forward tee:
This opened around July 4th.
Our goal was to provide a better teeing location for players using our forward tee boxes on this short par-4.
It’s graded well, allowing for a flat teeing surface and it provides a much better angle. It’s already receiving great reviews!
We added a new forward tee on Dunes 11 this spring.
Great angle and vantage point for those looking to attack this short par-4.

Overall
The golf courses look great and our maintenance team is very pleased with current turf conditions. It’s so fun to watch the property transform from March and April into what they currently are in the middle of the summer.
We’re in a great place heading into Part II of the 2021 golf season and we hope you’re scheduled join us soon.
